Eleanor ~ Jack Russell Puppy(2/6/21)

Hi My name is Eleanor(Ellie), I am a female 9wk old Jack Russell puppy and I am looking for my forever home. I’m still quite young but I love to run and play with my new foster doggy friends in a lovely big yard. Sometimes I get a bit enthusiastic and nip at them a little when we play so I will need some puppy training so that I am the best pup that I can be.

I am currently crate training at night time and I’m doing really well, I have started toilet training too, I like going outside to the toilet on the grass but sometimes I forget so I need reminding. I love to snuggle up in a warm bed inside at night and like my people cuddles but I love to play more.

I like children, but my teeth are still a bit sharp and I’m going to be a little girl when I grow up and might accidentally get hurt with really little children so I think I should be adopted to a family with children over 5years old, or someone that had a lovely little fur companion for me to play with would be ideal as I love my foster play mates.

Before applying for me I have some questions for you to consider:

-Have you thought about loving and caring for me for the next 12-15 years - maybe even longer ?

-I am a furever dog not just a COVID dog

-I won’t be a tiny puppy for long and will get up to mischief as I become a teenager. Are you ready for that?

-Have you thought about my extra puppy meals throughout the day?

-Will somebody be home more often than not to keep me socialised?

-I will most likely be able to squeeze through small gaps so do you have solid fencing (5-6 foot) to keep me safe?

-I won’t suit an apartment , courtyards or a small yards will be fine as long as their is plenty of room to run and play in.

-Have you thought about my ongoing physical training and mental stimulation (enrichment games) so that I don't get bored and destructive?

-Will I have access to inside at all times to ensure that I am a part of your family?

I'm watching and learning from you from the moment I open my eyes.

I’ve been practicing my sit, come and recall to my name and love getting little rewards. I like being inside for a snuggle but love being outside to run around and play with lots of chew toys. Being under supervision means I learn boundaries (crucial as I grow older) and means I am less likely to develop nuisance behaviours due to boredom.

As I am not yet desexed, I am only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens areas as I will need to be returned to our vet for desexing when I am approximately 5 months old. Exceptional Sydney based adoptions will only be considered upon approval. I am NOT available for long distance or interstate adoption.
