I'm Axle and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.

The application process can take up to 2 weeks so please allow this much time for us to get in contact with you in regards to whether you have been successful or not.
If you have made it through the first round we may contact you by phone for more information.

NOTE: You are unable to meet Axle until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Axle in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

The first thing you need to know about me is that you shouldn't let my age fool you. I am extremely energetic and will require a very active family who will keep me stimulated every day.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• Rides in the car
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• NO CATS
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a MUST
• I am a clever & active doggo - I would be great for dog training, trick training, agility etc.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• No young children, as when I'm excited I get very bouncy and mouthy. Older children who will play with me and walk me every day will be ok.
• Being a social and playful pupper I would love to go to doggy daycare

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Rabbits & Guinea Pigs - I will chase them
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy

My best features:
• LOVE people
• Happy to hang out with other dogs
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• I LOVE LOVE LOVE toys
• I walk well on lead, although I can be a bit erratic when I'm excited
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans, once I've burned off some of my energy and am happy to chill out for awhile
