About Bruno
Hi I’m Bruno, I am a gorgeous 3 year and 5 month old Cavoodle (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle)
I’m on the hunt for my forever home where the people will love me like I love them (my foster mum says I will even rub myself up against your leg like a cat)
My foster mum says I have to be up front and tell you my quirks first so that if I don’t suit your home / lifestyle you won’t need to keep reading my bio.
I suffer from anxiety and therefore it’s super important that my dream home would be with someone who either works from home or doesn't work and is a home body. Somebody who can also work with me on this would be great and especially If you can incorporate me into your life and take me a lot of places with you.
I was surrendered to the rescue because I used to escape a lot from their home - they also did have really low fences) – I have only tried once while I was in care and my foster mum now just keeps me in the house while they go to do the shopping etc and I’m okay with that.
I am still working on being a big boy when new people arrive - I will give a bark and take a moment to warm up to you but hey when I do I will happily take all the pats you want to give me.
I came into care and Paw Prints made sure that my teeth were taken care of – I had a dental Scale and polish and the vet has said my teeth are now looking good – but I would need yearly checkups like all furbabies should have.
Kids don’t bother me I do love to jump up on the couch and get cuddles but I do not want to be picked up by them so that is something that the rescue will be definitely making sure my new family understands.
I’m looking for a person who can plan time daily for chest scratches – it’s super important and something I will need to remind you of if you forget!
I love to go outside when I want to investigate the back yard and then come back inside to watch TV – my life is pretty complicated that way!
I did have a few toilet accidents when I came into care but I’ve now worked out where the backyard is etc. and I’m doing really well.
I am currently in foster care with two other dogs, one is a big, big fur sister and she is great – she is not in my face and she does her thing and I do mine and the other is a small breed like me – I am the one that loves to groom her and play – she is a bit quieter then I am but both are good cause they don’t jump on me, or want to be constantly sniffing my butt! I’m not old but I like a calm life.
I do prefer to have human company over other fur siblings – while I am okay with dogs – I do get possessive over my humans’ laps – I’m working on it but it’s a process.
I have not been around cats and my foster family thinks it could go either way – if they run I might chase them.
I do sleep on my foster mum’s bed and this is something I would like to continue with – I mean just think we can snuggle on the couch and then snuggle in bed together.
I have a coat that does require grooming. I have already had a couple of professional grooms which didn’t faze me at all. The groomer did tell my foster mum that I need to continue going to a groomer so that my coat stays looking good & not matted so please keep this in mind when applying as it’s an ongoing expense.
If you think you could make me part of your family & are interested in applying to adopt me, please send thru an adoption application.
** Please note applications will close Saturday 5th June 2021 at 5.30pm

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
