About Gizmo ~ 7 month old (on trial 13/08/2021)
Meet Gizmo! This quirky little dude may be deaf and has a heart murmur but he doesn’t seem to notice and it certainly doesn’t slow him down!
Gizmo is a very confident kitten who sleeps most of the day because the sounds of the household don’t wake him, but when he is awake he loves to play and zoom around the house with his foster cat and dog siblings.
Gizmo’s favourite activity is “star gazing”. He will find any light reflection in the house and hunt it until he has exhausted himself. He isn’t opposed to hunting shadows either!
He is quite independent and would definitely be fine in a home with full time workers. He sleeps the day away and has his witching hour at night. He is great with other animals and would love either a cat or dog friend to keep him company, but this isn’t a deal breaker.
He would be fine with children as long as they are gentle and wouldn’t startle him awake when sleeping. He obviously can’t hear loud noises like kids playing, dogs barking and even the vacuum, so he will fit well into any home.
Gizmo has a very loud purr and he loves chin scratches but he is definitely not a lap cat. If there is room on the bed he might join his humans but he mainly likes to sleep on the top level of his cat scratching post.
Gizmo’s hearing and heart murmur don’t mean he needs any extra care, he just needs to be a strictly indoor cat for the entirety of his life as he can’t hear cars or predators and his murmur will need monitoring.
Gizmo is a perfect gentleman and uses his litter tray with no accidents. He is located in foster care in Mayfield.
Gizmo’s adoption fee is $200 which covers his desexing, microchip and first vaccination as well as worming and flea treatment.
