Tex

*TEX IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME* I have to admit to falling a little bit in love with this pup as soon as I saw his pound pic as he was sitting up so straight and proud – i reckon he thought he was posing for his class of 2010 puppy-preschool photo instead of his doggie ‘mug shot’!!! \

After 3 long weeks in his pen waiting for an owner who never showed ‘Tex’ is now safe with SARG and looking for that someone special who will spend the time helping him reach his full potential. Weighing 12. 24kgs at 16 weeks of age, Tex will be a big boy when he finishes growing so ongoing obedience training is a must so he has lovely manners. He already walks well on a lead and likes to stay close by your side when off lead. Tex is in foster care where he's learning the basics such as ‘sit’ and ‘down’. Tex is a friendly, happy, healthy pup who adores people and laps up all the cuddles and affection he can get. While in the pound Tex shared a pen with other pups and they got along fine and as you can see from his video he interacted well with my adult male staffy who Tex had only just met when i started filming – they then enjoyed an hour of chasing each other and being doggie fools (it was Tex’s first run in a yard after being in the pound!) before collapsing in a pile together for a well deserved rest!

Tex would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time while he’s a pup. Daily walks, secure fencing and toys to keep him stimulated are also a necessity so he doesn’t get bored and up to mischief. He will also benefit from ongoing socialisation with other dogs.
