Hello, my name is Goose! I’m named after the animal I sounded like when I first came into care with kennel cough (and my foster dad is a big fan of Top Gun). Everyone who meets me comments on what a sweet boy I am. I love pats and cuddles and attention and walks and I love chasing a ball (although I don’t get why my foster mum keeps asking me to bring it back when she can just come get it herself)!
Goose is great with people and other dogs! However, at this stage he needs to be supervised around cats because he shows a little too much interest. Goose can also get a little over-excited when you get home and when he first sees you in the morning and does jump a bit (which we’re working on) but may not be suited to families with small children for that reason.
Goose is eager to please and very food motivated (and not at all fussy) and sits with great intensity whenever he is asked. With a bit of training he should be able to learn some more commands and manners without too much difficulty. He walks well n a leash, is crate trained and sleeps quietly in his crate overnight. He will need a secure backyard as he is a bit of an escape artist, but tends to break out rather than jump over the fence.
Goose really is a very lovable, affectionate, smoochy boy who will love you unconditionally and make a wonderful best mate!
