About Trax
Trax is a very easy boy to live with. He has had 8 months of professional positive training and has a lovely recall, sits, downs, loose lead walking. Very polite with visitors, does not jump up on people or furniture, fully toilet trained. Loves to enjoy a pig's ear while I have coffee with a friend at local cafes.
Loves other dogs and is very social but without going over the top. He has been excellent with children visiting and has not shown interest in the neighbours horses, alpacas or their cat. Enjoys long walks, sniffing or lazing by the potbelly have a long snooze.
Trax is fully vaccinated, microchipped, on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. He has had a full vet check and blood works done to assure that he has good health and no illness. He has at some point incurred a mid-back injury. X-rays show the spine to be normal however he is unable to flex that part of his back so can't lift his leg when urinating. It is recommended that he is not asked to jump up and down steps, high vehicles and agility is not an option. Other than that he is fine to continue enjoying his life.
Trax would suit a retired couple, single person or family with older children that won't put pressure on his back, who enjoy walking and sharing their time and home with this beautiful dog.
Medical notes
Stiffness over the lumbosacral junction suggests an earlier injury. X-rays show the spine, hips to be fine. No neurological problems are evident. Veterinary recommendations are to manage exercise such as avoiding jumping or getting in and out of high vehicles which would put pressure on this area of his back. He has otherwise a normal healthy outlook going forward.
