About Plum
🍑 SWEET SUGAR PLUM FAIRY 🍑
What do plums and kittens have in common? They’re both purple except the kitten! 😸
Introducing our ever so precious and magnificently ginger girl, Plum. A few weeks ago we were asked to assist with a small orange creature who was lurking under someone’s car. As our volunteer arrived and approached the carport, she saw two terrified little eyes staring back at her. Plum was quickly scooped up and taken back home to the safety of her new foster pad. Despite our efforts to locate her mother and siblings, there were never any sightings and sadly couldn’t reunite this sweet little cheezel with her family. Not to worry though! Her foster mum had things sorted, wrapping Plum in a soft blanket that was hanging off her neck so that she could be close to people as much as possible. It took a few tries and a lot of adorable baby hisses, but Plum soon learnt that she was safe and began to bond with her carer who was preparing her to fly the coop and join another foster family.
Since being in her new foster home, Plum has continued to learn some valuable skills and is settling well with people. She is still a little timid and will need some reassurance as she continues to find her way in the big wide world. Being a street kitten, she is very cat social and seeks out feline companions for comfort and affection. The ideal home for Plum would have at least one other cat or kitten, or if she’s extra lucky – her foster sister Parrot! If you might consider adopting two tiny tots, please get in touch with us and we can arrange for you to meet both Plum and Parrot who are fostered in the same home.
Plum can be quite timid when faced with new experiences and environments. She is often startled by loud noises and busy homes. For this reason, Plum requires a child free home (or children over 12 years who will help her settle quietly) so she can live a comfortable life. We hope for a smooth transition moving to a home with calm dogs who will give Plum space to settle without overwhelming her, and we are happy to provide support during this time. As Plum is highly cat social and comes from a colony of homeless cats, preference will be given to applicants who have an existing cat or may consider adopting one of her kitten foster friends (at a reduced fee).
