About Moccona
Moccona is the most adorable nugget of love. She wiggles when she is happy, snuggles when she is sleepy and is curiously engaged in the world around her.
She knows her name and will recall, and will 'sit' when told. She is comfortable in a collar and walking on a leash. Toilet training is going well with minimal accidents in the house. There is a fairly solid routine which includes feeds, cuddles, play, learning, and crating for naps. She is currently left alone for up to an hour 1 -2 times a day and is comfortable with this.
In her foster home, she has met lots of new human adults, several other dogs and puppies, and two cats! She has shown herself to be confident in both her outgoing nature with calmer and friendlier dogs, and in setting her boundaries around personal space when she feels intimidated - which has been helpful in us managing the right level of engagement for her comfort levels with different dogs. She trusts and communicates so well with our big boisterous boofer and loves coaxing him into a good rumble session or game of tug before curling up as close to him as she can get for a snooze.
She loves a chew and cow hooves are proving a firm favourite. Sometimes an interesting find is not technically something that should be chewed but she is easily directed toward a more appropriate form of entertainment.
Moccona sleeps in a puppy pen in our room next to our other dog's bed for comfort, and currently is getting up for the toilet in the night. We have worked hard to gain her independence and expect a future home to continue boundaries to ensure she becomes a well-balanced dog.
She is a bit scared of the car and has been a little sick but we believe this is more nerves than motion sickness and further playtimes and treat sessions in a stationary car will help.
Moccona has shown to be a confident pup who will thrive with Staffy experienced owners. Both parents were of a strong American staffy size and build so these pups are expected to grow to be between 30-40kg in size. She wants to play rough and tumble with fellow dogs, which is not always appreciated. We will be looking for an owner who has leadership to manage her play time and to ensure she learns life’s boundaries. As cute and cuddly as she is she will rely heavily on a committed family for training and exposure to ensure she develops into a social and well-mannered dog.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
