About Miko
Miko is the cheeky and full of beans boy in the litter, who absolutely loves to play.
His favourite toy are the toilet rolls (at least they are easily sourced!). You can laugh at him chasing them for hours. He adores his foster brother and plays with him all day until they both collapse. He is great with other dogs outside the home and is intrigued by the cats currently at his residence.
He is very confident when in known environments. He seeks guidance when he is in an unknown environment and likes to remain close to you. This will continue to improve with the right exposure. He makes this easy as he enjoys the car and sits happily in his basket but it doesn’t take long to fall asleep.
He is learning to walk on the lead but requires some prompting. Miko knows his name and comes when called. He has learnt the word sit. He is great helper around the house and will help take the washing off the line, which a new owner will have to remain consistent and proactive to ensure no bad habits prevail. He is crate trained and will sleep in his crate from 9pm to 6am. We have worked hard to gain his independence and expect a future home to continue boundaries to ensure he remains a balanced dog.
He loves his humans and follows them everywhere and is the ‘snuggle on the couch’ type. He will go to sleep with his head on your lap. Miko is learning to go to the toilet outside. This requires some vigilance on the humans’ part to take him out every hour or so, particularly after he has woken up from a sleep where he should be taken straight outside and you say toilet!
Miko can become really attached really quick to his favourite family member. We are working on his confidence to stay home without his humans. This will require continued work with his new family. He is now happy at home with another dog but continued training and time alone is ideal for a new family to ensure he learns he is safe at home.
He is on a mix of raw and kibble food. His skin was dry coming into care but is improving with a well-balanced diet, he even eats his broccoli. His favourite foods are sardines, chicken and fresh meat mix.
Miko has shown to be a confident pup who will thrive with Staffy experienced owners. Both parents were of a strong American staffy size and build so these pups are expected to grow to be between 30-40kg in size. He wants to play rough and tumble with fellow dogs, which is not always appreciated. We will be looking for an owner who has leadership to manage his play time. As cute and cuddly as he is, he will rely heavily on a committed family to training and exposure to ensure he develops into a social and well-mannered dog.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
