About Scarlette
Hello my name is Scarlette
I am a beautiful, sweet girl who enjoys the quiet life. I am an affectionate little lady and love to snuggle with my human.
I enjoy going for drives in the car and get excited when I see my lead and harness to go for a walk.
My foster mum says i do need to be on a lead outside of my own property, she says i get this look like I could run like Usain Bolt so she won't give me a chance to try it - something about she was not a track field runner in high school?
I have been in care with small breeds and bigger breeds and have no issues playing with any of them.
My foster mum has said i have to come clean straight away and tell you I am not a sharer of my food - definitely separate bowls and if living with another dog supervised feds.
I am fine with cats (I will give them a bark at when I meet them but then I am all good, but my foster mum says no definitely not chickens - apparently they don't appreciate me trying to catch them).
I am a girl who enjoys the luxury of an indoor life and have great indoor manners using the doggy door when I need to go outside for the toilet. My favorite position in the whole home is sitting on top of the couch at the window looking out at the world.
I do like to spend some time outside doing my thing so I would like to have the best of both worlds - inside and outside access when I want.
I of course have that glorious Maltese x Shih Tzu coat which needs to be maintained and regular grooming.
My ideal home would be with someone who is home more often then not so I can snuggle and do Netflix marathons with.
My foster mum says I connect beautifully with small children and love to be in their laps and snuggle close, however I do get super super excited when you come home and I don't mean to but i can sometimes jump and nip / claim you so any house I go to has to help me work on that in a calm and consistent manner.
I am a huge fan of sleeping with my humans so that is something i would very much like to continue doing in my furever home.
Someone who will love me and spoil me and leave me wanting for nothing.

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
