About Kava
Miss Kava may be small, but boy does her personality pack a punch! This little lady is never too far away from the action! Kava is very bossy, regularly putting her foster sister in her place, ending up on top during rumbles and loves to grumble when things don't go her way. She loves a snuggle nearly as much as a rumble though!
She is very confident around humans (both males and females) and is a big tail wagger when meeting new people. Kava is a bit timid when meeting new dogs until she has been able to see her foster sister interact with them, then she gets the confidence to get involved as well. She can be very excitable around young children and we think a home with no children or older teenage children would be a better match for her full-on personality.
Kava loves tug-a-war with her foster sister and open mouth play rumbling when there is no toy involved. She is still learning how to travel and be confident in the car. At the moment she cries if she is not sitting with you or on your lap.
Kava is 80% perfect with her toilet training and will do 'wees' on command and happily follows her foster sister when she is taken outside. Poos are still happening too often inside so is still a work in progress. Ava sleeps from 9pm until 3am when she wakes up and wees on the grass outside, then sleeps again until 7am without any mishaps.
Her recall is going great and she comes when called. Slowly learning the word 'NO'... but will still push the boundaries like any cheeky puppy. She is very good on the lead, either with or without other dogs around to guide her. She is very confident walking off lead and is happy to follow her humans around.
Kava’s current home allows her with 24/7 access to inside and outside. Her outside has grass, which she loves to sunbake in. Kava spends her mornings at the gym, greeting everyone with a morning pep talk. She is extremely social and very confident meeting new people as a result.
Kava has shown to be a confident pup who will thrive with Staffy experienced owners. Both parents were of a strong American staffy size and build so these pups are expected to grow to be between 30-40kg in size. She wants to play rough and tumble with fellow dogs once she knows them, which is not always appreciated. We will be looking for an owner who has leadership to manage her play time and to ensure she learns boundaries in play. As cute and cuddly as she is she will rely heavily on a committed family for training and exposure to ensure she develops into a social and well-mannered adult dog.
Medical notes
Kava has a pocketed vulva. This currently causes no issue and the vets have indicated that she may grow into herself with time. If she doesn't then she may be more prone to UTIs. If it were to become an issue in the future then it may require some surgery to correct.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
