About Zephyr ~ On Trial 14/06/21
Meet Zephyr! Zephyr is an 8 year old Australian Shepherd, but he is on the petite side at only 13 kg and shorter than the breed standard.
He is very shy at first, and though he is small and cute, Zephyr is still a classic Aussie - boisterous, mischievous, talk-y, and needs a lot of exercise, chew toys and play time. We strongly recommend an owner with previous working dog experience as though they are handsome, Aussies can be full-on, therefore not for everyone. They are Velcro dogs - they love company and to be by your side all the time. Zephyr would be best suited to a home with lots of time, company, pats and love to give.
After he is worn out Zephyr loves a snuggle on the couch or the bed. He has been an inside dog and loves it! He's crate trained and potty trained (for the most part, and marking has stopped after he was desexed), has been a great car passenger and will give you a sit. Zephyr will need more training on lead and general behaviour as he has discovered stealing socks is a lot of fun. He loves treats, as do most Aussies!
Zephyr has met two cats, however has not been thoroughly tested in a house with children, cats or other small animals. He has a tendency to jump up upon greeting so this should be considered. He has met a lot of children during our recent outing at Hope Estate and was happy to be patted by them. Zephyr is currently living with two male Aussies of normal size (~20kg) and loves having a wrestle and a chase with the dogs.
Zephyr's adoption fee is $450 which includes his desexing, vaccination, microchipping, and has had flea, tick and worming medication.
Zephyr currently lives in Cardiff NSW (suburb of Newcastle NSW) and if youd love to know more about this handsome hunk please contact Brigid on Brigid_k@hotmail.com
