About Shaggy 💚
My foster mum describes me as a sweet natured, playful, cheeky little boy and am now called Shaggy 💚
My real Mumma was surrendered to the RSPCA (along with her 12 kids) when we were just 3 weeks old and she is Retriever x Mastiff. Dad is unknown, but judging by our markings (and my cute stumpy tail), he may have been Cattle x. We spent a few weeks there being cared for by some lovely people, until it was time to leave Mum, and now we have been placed in foster care (in groups of 4) until all our vet work is done and forever homes found 🏡
I’m quite an adventurous and inquisitive boy, who loves a good snuggle with my people and plays nicely with my sisters and brother. I’m quite active and can be a little mouthy when playing, but would never hurt you intentionally.....I will learn all about bite inhibition with some training and guidance from you 😉
My foster family named myself and 3 of my siblings after the Scooby Doo show, so there’s me....Shaggy, my sisters Daphne and Velma, and brother....Fred 🥰 we have our own outdoor covered area with lounges and cozy kennel, to curl up and sleep and a big grassed area to play in. We are currently learning to sit and meeting lots of new people daily.
Guessing by our makeup of breeds, we would be medium to large in size when fully grown, and quite active dogs, so probably not suited for an apartment life 🤓
I would love to have a young playful doggie companion in my forever home, but may also suit an only dog home IF you didn’t plan on leaving me at home all day by myself 😕 I will need plenty of training and socialisation as well, so if you’re an extremely busy person already, it may not be the right time to welcome a puppy into the home......we do tend to take up lots of your time!
I will need a medium to large yard with secure height appropriate fencing, so I have plenty of room to run and play, but would also love to join you inside for some family time.
There is probably so much more to tell you about me, but I’m sure we can do that when we meet face to face, if you send in a GREAT enquiry! I’m so excited to choose my new family....
Apparently I’m going for a vet visit on the 2nd June and then will be ready to head off to my forever home from the 4th, so my foster mum will be organising a meet or 2 prior to that date.....here’s a tip from me 😍 make your enquiry stand out!

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
