About Barney DL2665
Barney is a sweet and gentle boy who is looking forward to meeting you! We hope you can multitask, because once you start patting him, he won’t let you stop.
Barney ticks all the boxes: has lived with cats and other dogs, is house trained, well mannered, and wonderfully behaved at home.
Barney may be blind but he navigates life with minimal issues! Sometimes he heads in the wrong direction when you call him, but he finds you eventually. He has the cutest butt wiggle when he’s happy, a sassy backchat voice for when you stop patting him or when you come home, and the happiest tail!
Being blind, he’s not as boisterous as you’d expect for a dog of his size- he’s a paws to the floor kind of guy. He’ll tap you to let you know he needs more pats, he’ll bounce on two feet when he’s excited but no jumping up. He walks pretty well on the lead, pulls a little to get to all the good smells, but after a while he settles into a relaxed leash.
He’s looking for a chill household, a single storey home with minimal changes to layout and no low hanging decor to knock over. Best suited to kids 10yrs+, and a family who are home often as he can be sad without company.
Barney is a dream! Email us at DFLadoption@gmail.com today to apply.
Medical notes
At 28kg, Barney is a medium to large sized dog. No significant health issues other than the blindness, he has just a week's worth of ear drops to clear them out.
