About Spot
SPOT is a happy and affectionate one year-old male Border Collie x Kelpie, brought up in a family environment and surrendered to us through no fault of his own.
Behaviourally, Border Collie/Kelpies are brilliant dogs. Energetic, eager to please, mild-mannered, highly intelligent, quick to learn and train - and quintessentially Australian.
Born on 5 March 2020, Spot exhibits all these characteristics, plus he is good with kids and other dogs and tolerant of cats. More than anything, he loves human company and will make an affectionate, loyal and devoted companion or family dog.
Like all working dog mixes, Spot needs plenty of physical and mental stimulation to be happy and content. He would suit an energetic couple or family with children, who can give him the activity and mental stimulation he needs.
If you are interested in meeting this handsome youngster, the first step is to complete our online application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and an ARK volunteer will be in touch.
Spot will NOT cope if left alone in a backyard for extended periods, so is not suitable to full-time workers. Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time. Secure fencing is essential.
His adoption fee is $495 and he is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
Applicants must be willing to travel to Warwick, Queensland to meet Spot.
