About Koala
Koala is a sweet and sensitive young lady. She has absolutely blossomed in her foster home - with lots of patience, consistency, kindness and guidance - she has become a funny, wiggly, affectionate pup.
Koala seeks a home where she will be given time to settle into her new environment - this could take several weeks or even a month. Men take a little longer to earn her trust but once you’re in Koala’s ‘good books’ … you’re in for life!
She has made great friends with her foster fur-brother and fur-sister and is friendly with new dogs so long as they are well-mannered and don’t jump all over her. She is good at setting polite boundaries with other dogs. She will do much better at home with another well-mannered pup, or people who are home a lot. She gets sad on her own. She is friendly and polite with older children but is frightened by sudden loud noises or scary movements, so really little kids would be too overwhelming for her full time.
Koala has started travelling beautifully in the car and walks nicely on a lead, although she prefers quiet streets as lots of cars can be a bit scary still. She is improving a lot with her timid tendencies though.
Koala is not suitable to go to a home with cats - she is really prone to chasing them.
She is toilet trained and sleeps quietly on her bed in the lounge room through the night. She takes treats gently and has started to show good recall.
Koala is so young and just starting to find her way in the world. She deserves a loving and patient home - and the lucky people who adopt her will be rewarded with a loyal and intelligent dog for many years.
