Oreo ~ 12 week old male (on trial 28/5/2021)

Oreo is a confident and cuddly guy who is bundle of fun filled energy. He spends a good portion of his day wrestling and playing with the other kittens in his foster family or following his foster humans around to assist with the housework.
Once he has got all the playing and helping out of his system, he loves nothing more than to curl up next to you for some pats and a nap.

Oreo has started lead training and has enjoyed spending short amounts of time in his harness, helping in the yard. All cats adopted through Dog Rescue Newcastle are indoor only cats for their safety however we do encourage adopters to harness train their kitten, if they are confident and adventurous in nature, as a form of enrichment. Oreo would also benefit from an outdoor cat enclosure.

Due to Oreo’s high level of energy and love for rough play, he is best suited to living as an only cat unless he has a very tolerant new feline sibling or one of a similar age and energy level.

Given lots of access to enrichment throughout the house, Oreo would manage being home alone during work hours okay, however if left to his own devices with no toys or activities, he may become destructive and make his own games.

Since being in care, Oreo has not been around young children or dogs so it is not known how he would react to them. Due to his love for rough play we think children over 8 years would be best, and any dogs would need to be tolerant.

Oreo is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated which is all covered by his $250 adoption fee.
