Charlie is an absolute sweetheart. He loves cuddles, head scratches and tummy rubs. He really likes to spend most of his time around humans and is happy to meet new people and dogs. He’s very affectionate with all humans and has not yet met someone he didn’t like. He will follow you around but not in a desperate way: it seems he is just interested in whatever you are doing. When standing up he likes to lean against you with his full weight as you pat his side before he lies down on your feet.
Charlie likes meeting new dogs on walks but hasn't had to share the house with another dog yet. He may have a tendency to resource guard so that would need to be taken into account. Charlie is house trained. He does pull a bit on lead sometimes but he responds well to corrections. Oh, and he does love balls.
He doesn't really bark except when he is caught off guard lby a possum in a tree or a sudden loud sound, but if you distract him he will forget about it. He cares about cuddles with you more than anything and will stop what he's doing to get one. Charlie is great at the park if you sit down for a picnic ~ you just hold on to the lead and he will sit with you. And if you offer him a treat like a piece of carrot he will be very gentle taking it from your hand.
However bear in mind that Charles is a boisterous young breed dog with a mind of his own and will need an experienced dog owner to make sure he knows that some rules are there to be followed and is at all times a respectful dog.
Overall Charlie will make you feel like the most wonderful person in the world. Who could ask for more?
No cats for Charlie please.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
