About Djina DL2663
Djina is a handsome little rascal looking for his perfect match. He has a nose that wants to get into everything... and uses those puppy dog eyes to try get away with it!
Djina will keep you on your toes and have you rolling your eyes at his antics. He likes having something to do and enrichment toys & games are lots of fun. He is crate-trained for sleeping overnight and staying out of mischief while you’re at work. He's very good at sitting and waiting to be let out of his crate, let outside, or to come back inside.
Djina likes to patrol the house, run laps in the yard, and watch the world through doors and windows. He travels well in the car and likes to have his nose out the window! He's usually pretty content to chill out on his bed in the crate, play with his toys, or come up and mooch for attention.
Djina is best suited to a seasoned dog owner with both the time and patience to work with him. Sure, he's cute as heck, but there's ongoing training to be done. He's a smart boy and has already learnt some cues like sit, stay, wait for food, paw, and drop... and will respond if good treats are involved!
He can be unsure of new people and runs away and barks at first. He's not suited to cats or other small animals. He is vocal around other dogs and needs work on his social skills. He's not sure about unexpected movements or fast gestures, attaching his lead/collar, etc, so you will need to gain his trust.
He does love spending some time outside where he can play with his toys and chase off those noisy birds! Tall secure fences are a must; Djina may have missed out on the 2020 Olympics but he doesn’t let that stop him from practicing his high jump. As he still learning not to jump up, he isn't suited to small children.
You'll never be bored with Djina around! If you'd love to welcome this sweet scruffy boy into your home, email DFLrescue@gmail.com today to apply.
