Abby

Abby is is a big goofy floofball who loves everyone she meets, human or dog. She loves to play with her foster siblings especially when it’s fetch and can even throw the ball up and catch it for herself.

She’s happy hanging out but is still pretty active so will need a walk, or a play at the park at least once a day. Initially she does pull on her lead but this improves once she has had a good run around. She loves to play with her foster brother and sister, and gets on well with dogs of all sizes and ages. If she was an only dog she would need somebody home more often as she doesn’t like to be left on her own that much. She currently sleeps in her crate at night in the lounge. Abby will jump on the couch and snuggle with you.

She is very good at sit and down but her recall needs some work. She does come 7/10 times so with a little bit of work she will perfect this, like a typical Lab she is very food motivated. She shows no signs of resource guarding (even with bones!) but does give up her food if she has a pushy sibling, so this will need to be monitored. She is toilet trained and very good in the car.

Abby is a very happy dog and not much phases her. That being said she isn’t too keen on the vacuum and hasn’t had much experience with stairs so these will need to be taken slowly.

Abby would make a beautiful addition to any home but would be better suited to somebody who is relatively active and kids who have experience with big dogs as she does get a bit excited when you get home and jumps up.
