This handsome guy steals the hearts of all who meet him!
Pirate has a gentle nature and wherever he is, he loves to have his humans or foster brother (English staffy) close by. He loves to play fetch and tug-of-war and is super fast at zoomies around the backyard, but this is well balanced with plenty of down time.
This boy LOVES cuddles and will seek out snuggle time with his adult people whenever the mood takes him, although he doesn’t seek these out from little people as much because they don’t sit still long enough. His favourite cuddle time is when foster mum has Zoom meetings.
This clever boy is toilet trained, crate trained and is not a nuisance barker. He’s good with other dogs, hasn’t shown any jealousy and is pretty good at reading the cues when his (much older) foster brother isn’t keen to play. He has no worries eating beside his foster brother or having humans near him or touching him while he eats. Pirate is currently learning how to be bird friendly with two budgies and a cockatiel.
Pirate doesn’t appear to be scared of storms and walks well on the lead. He will sit but we’re currently trying to perfect ‘stay’. He doesn’t know how to jump yet, so needs to be picked up to get in the car, and he’s given no signs of being an escape artist, however secure fencing would be wise. He travels well in the car but needs to be adequately secured to keep him from sneaking over for a cuddle.
With so much love to give, this furry little bundle of joy would be best suited to a family with children and another friendly dog who can keep him company when the adults need to go out.
Medical notes
Pirate was born with de-formed eye which has been removed. He has had no problems after surgery.
