Missy

Meet Missy! This sweet girl is a 9 year old kelpie mix who sadly had to say goodbye to her human dad as he went into care. She is looking for a quiet and loving home who will make the most of her senior years. Missy is in great shape for her age although could do with shedding a few extra kilos (but who couldn't right?!)

Missy was very scared when she first came into care and took a while to settle into her new environment but she is feeling safe now and is blossoming! She has a sweet nature and really just wants to potter around with her humans all day and soak up the sun!

Missy is best suited to a quiet lifestyle with not too much excitement as she can get over-excited quickly. She has been learning calmness during high activity (e.g. visitors arriving) in her crate which she is responding to very well and she will often put herself in her crate during the day. She is house trained and sleeps quietly all night.

Although Missy gets along with other dogs, she would be best suited to a single dog home. Missy can get overwhelmed with too many dogs buzzing around, so dog parks and busy beaches would not suit her. However, she walks well on a lead on quiet suburban streets and does not show reactivity to other dogs barking at her from behind fences.
