About Cole ^^Dandy Cat Rescue^^
š±š± $250 adoption fee š±š±
There is a very good reason that Cole takes life at full speed, itās because every day for him is a gift. Cole loves to run and jump and play with such excitement and fun, because being active is not something he takes for granted.
Cole was surrendered to a vet clinic with a swollen abdomen and at was soon discovered that Cole had an inguinal hernia on his the lower right side of his abdomen. This meant that putting this little guy through surgery was the only option.
When opening him up, the vet discovered that his lower bowels were poking through a muscle tear about 1cm in diameter. His bowels were repositioned and the tear was repaired so that his bowels would stay beneath the muscles.
This adorable medium-hair little fluffball spent a week in recovery in a crate, and was rehabilitated daily to help him return to full function. And he did it all without complaint!
It wasnāt long before this adorable little guy was up and running ā and he hasnāt stopped since! All you would know of Coleās operation is the small scar on his tummy. The hair, which was shaved off ahead of the operation, is now growing back and soon you wonāt be able to see anything at all.
Cole is 100% recovered and he shows every day just how passionate his zest for life is. Cole loves to run and climb and play, and it is such a joy to watch him in action.
Cole is so funny in his play, pausing to look at you before resuming attacking a ping pong ball or the latest obsession (he loves toilet roll inners and will chase the laser light dot until he wears himself out).
When he has exhausted himself, Cole will seek out a warm place to soak up all your cuddles and pats. He is very fond of heated/electric blankets, and will purr himself to sleep on the warmest thing he can find.
Cole does get along well with the older cats and kittens in foster care however he has a dominating personality and can get overexcited. On his own he is calmer, so a home where he is the only cat and where he people to focus his attention on would be great.
As Cole is very intelligent and very active, Cole would NOT suit a home where:
⢠he would be in an apartment with just one or two people
⢠by himself for huge parts of the day
⢠around small children (he is still learning to control his teeth and claws)
⢠under the feet of older people, as he runs underfoot very quickly.
Cole is a sweet boy who looks at you with such love and adoration. Once he has grown out of this temporary kitten phase, he will be a cat you can share a very special bond with for your whole life. He is loyal and grateful for everything he is given (heās not fussy at mealtimes either!). And his medium black coat makes him look so handsome too!
Located at Hampton Park.

Medical notes
Cole was brought in by somebody that had found him on their property, he was bright and healthy, but upon further inspection, an inguinal hernia on his the lower right side of his abdomen was discovered.
When opening him up, the vet found that his lower bowels were poking through a muscle tear about 1cm in diameter. The vet returned the bowels to where they should be and repaired the tear so that they would stay beneath the muscles.
There should not be any repercussions from this repair, and as the monoplus suture material used dissolves, the muscle fibres and scar tissue should form and hold everything together naturally.
