About Roxy
Darling Roxy is an 8 year old medium sized "Bitza." BARC staff have all fallen in love with this beautiful dog and are keen to find her the best of homes which can assist with her journey back to becoming a well-rounded, confident and social individual.
Roxy is a loving sweet natured girl. She has lived with another dog in the past, but is much more interested in the company of people. Roxy shows no interest in interacting with other dogs, BARC believes she is capable of living in a home with another well mannered, calm and easy-go-lucky dog and given time and guidance will eventually overcome her timidity.
This girl can be somewhat nervous in new situations or with people that display fast moving behaviours or intense body language. For this reason, if Roxy were to live with children they would need to be in their teenage years. Roxy craves love and with a calm, gentle and nurturing person to snuggle up with -she loves nothing more than affection and pats.
Roxy requires a family who are prepared to take their time with her while she settles into a new family environment. Trust us - Roxy is worth it.
If you believe you may just have the right home for Roxy and are dedicated to assist her, please contact BARC to arrange a time to meet her! Roxy is ready to go to her new home today.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
