About Malo
Malo has been described by his foster carer as the goodest boy, and she definitely doesn't say that about all her charges!
The good stuff
- he's 99% toilet trained
- he's crate trained
- he sleeps through the night
- he doesn't chew on his bedding
- he's pretty mellow and happy to sleep at your feet in new places
- he's confident
- he loves to cuddle and snuggle
- he plays well with our 2.5yo boofhead dog
- he's respectful of our senior dog's space
- he loves to chase and play tug (harness that drive and his obedience training will be a dream)
- he travels well in the car
The not so great but fairly normal puppy stuff
- he can be a little whiny if confined in a crate but he does stop after a short time, he's ok doing his own thing if allowed to
- he likes to dig (but he will stop if told to)
- he likes to chew on stuff especially fingers, toes and cables (but will also stop this if told to)
- he's very interested in the things on the clothesline and it won't be long before he'll be able to reach them
Malo hasn't yet been exposed to children, cats, small animals or dogs other than the two Amstaffs he's in foster care with, however, being a puppy, should be fine with all the above provided proper, positive introductions are made under supervision.
Malo's perfect adopter will:
- have a garden and allow Malo to be an inside/outside dog that's an important member of the family
- be committed to training him to be the best version of himself
- be firm but fair - he'll be a big dog (approx 40kg +), you don't want him to think he can push you around
- feed him a healthy species appropriate diet (he's currently on raw and Ziwi Peak)
- have a well thought out plan to socialise Malo with friends and family dogs
- be home more than not and OR have an older, stable, dog to keep Malo company
- enjoy daily exercise and include Malo when he's old enough for structured walks/runs
Malo is a really sweet boy who will not do well in a home where he's left alone more than not. He needs to play a major part within the family, have inside / outside access and sleep inside in a safe, warm spot. He's very loving and social so please only apply if you meet the criteria.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
