Not your typical black and tan chap, Banjo's black and white. One of eight pups in the litter, he's the only one whose coat colouring has deviated from the generally accepted kelpie colours, so we think he's a bit special.

Like all kelpies, Banjo is super sweet, highly intelligent, alert and very trainable.

Kelpies can make great family pets, loyal companions and excellent watchdogs. They have an exceptionally high IQ and may get into mischief if left to their own devices. They require plenty of exercise, and will become bored if stuck in a backyard for lenthy periods without stimulation or company.

The secret to bringing the best out in a kelpie is to keep him occupied and well loved.
A kelpie's greatest joy is the love and attention of an active owner or family, while his greatest disappointment is inactivity and lack of attention.

Kelpies are eager to please and extremely loyal. Wherever their humans are, that's where they'll be too - whether that's out in a boat, in the back of a car, going for a walk, training for agility competitions or herding, or just watching television in the evening.

To be happy and content, BANJO will need plenty of vigorous daily exercise and play. Secure fencing is a must. He is not suited to full-time workers.
