About Ishka - Meet me in Clifton Hill
Ishka is about 9 years old, in very good health and appearance. As you can see from the pictures, she looks like a koala with her thick grey and white fur and a black nose. Ishka’s coat is very soft, and she maintains it well through cleaning.
Ishka is no stranger to a loving home shared with humans. She is very well socialised and extremely low maintenance. Her favourite activity is sitting next to you, or on your lap, while you read a book or watch tv. At night, she loves to sleep on the bed with you. She gets up with you in the morning, ready for her breakfast. Ishka is happy going solo during the day, as her current fosters are out of the house daily for work, but she is always relieved when they arrive home.
Ishka loves a good pat session and will often dribble when she is really enjoying herself. As she is older, she does sleep quite a lot and is happy enough with minimal activity throughout the day. She is playful, however, and enjoys chasing and catching toys on string and has started to learn the art of ping-pong soccer. Ishka is not overly vocal but does meow sweetly to communicate her desire for pats or to say “hello, I missed you when you were gone”. She is inquisitive and likes to investigate the house and all its corners, but she doesn’t often jump onto places she shouldn’t. Ishka is not a scaredy cat and tolerates random noises - even the vacuum. She is happy to be picked up, but she will let you know if she’s not in the mood for pats or cuddles with a gentle warning bite – belly rubs are particularly not her cup of tea.
Ishka likes kibble in the morning and meat for dinner. Her appetite is simple, and she doesn’t require a huge amount of food.
Things to note – Ishka is not fond of other cats nor small children. We recommend a home for Iska where she can be the couch queen that she knows she is. She will want your undivided attention. Ishka is quite content as an indoor cat and doesn’t need a lot of stimulus, with a little game of chase the ribbon and lots of pats at night being her daily exercise.
Ishka is a mature lady ready to settle into her home for life. She is an adorable cat who will shower you in her undivided love (sometimes with drool and always with purrs). Ishka will make a cat lover very happy!
