Cloud

Hi my name is Cloud, a handsome cream kelpie with a whole lot of love to give and legs like a super model.

I spent the first two years of my life on a farm in outback Queensland and missed out on a lot of handling and socialising. So new situations and new people can overwhelm me, but once I feel comfortable my true snuggle bug personality comes out and I want to be right up in your grill giving cuddles and kisses.

I am a fast learner and I aim to please my people, especially if it will earn me a pat or a treat. I am very gentle and have learnt to sit, wait for my dinner and my recall is improving every day. As I can get frightened in overwhelming situations I will need someone who is patient and will keep me on leash or a long line in new situations incase I get a fright and want to run and hide. I have also done some sheep herding and would love to continue to do this, although my sensitive nature would require someone very patient if I was to be a full time worker

I am in care with other dogs and love to play and wrestle, although dominant male dogs can be a bit overwhelming for me. As I came into care severely under weight, I can be a bit protective of my food around other dogs as I get worried I might end up going without again but I am improving every single day and I never ever growl at my humans around food.

I would suit a family with another female dog and a family that has experience with dogs to continue me in the right path. As I can get a bit frightened of loud noises or erratic behaviour I would ideally suit a family with adults or older kids so I can continue to grow in confidence.
