About Mia
Well hiiiiiiiiiiiii how’s your day going? Mine is pretty good? I’m now ready to look for my forever home
Let me tell you a little about me – my name is Mia, and I am a 5 years and 7 months old, oh yeah and I am a Maltese x Shih Tzu.
I'm a happy and bouncy little girl that can't wait to meet my forever family. I have been living with my foster parents and fur siblings for a little while now, but it's time for me to move into my new home.
Since I live with a small breed dog at the moment, I know that I like company and love playing, but I also don't mind my alone time if you want me to be your one and only.
I'm not too sure about big dogs yet, sometimes their size and noise startles me (Im still excited to see that they notice me though!).
My foster mum says I have a few quirks (I like to dance on my back legs when I am happy or reminding you to hurry up and feed me, or I want a pat and you’re not giving me attention).
I love going for a drive with you and do enjoy a good open window to really get that fresh air rushing thru my fur – my mum calls me a mess after it – I just tell her it’s the windswept look and she needs to get with the fashion.
I love going for a walk or a short jog – nothing beats doing my exercises and then coming home and having a nap.
I have been around children and my foster mum says while I’m good with them, I do forget that running over them when they sit on the couch is something I am still working on.
My ideal home will be with someone who is home more often than not or who works from home – I’m still young so I would like to be a part of my family’s lives.
I do sleep on my foster mums bed and this is something I would like to continue with – I mean just think we can snuggle on the couch and then snuggle in bed together (after you have told me how cute I am at least 3 times that day!)
I have a coat that does require grooming so please keep this in mind when applying as it’s an ongoing expense.
If you think you could make me part of your family & are interested in applying to adopt me, please send thru an adoption application.
** Please note applications will close Saturday 15th May 2021 at 5.30pm

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 2 week trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby.
