About Kasha
Kasha our beautiful young girl who has recently arrived in care, she required TPLO surgery for a ruptured CCL 😢
She has started her recovery after her major surgery, we now have another hurdle to overcome.....to find her a safe place to rest and recuperate, as she needs to find her forever home or a foster home.
Let’s start by introducing this fun loving, friendly girl and telling you what we know about her.....
Kasha is a purebred Rottweiler and turns 4yrs old on 30th July 2021. Her previous owners were forced to make the heartbreaking decision to rehome her due to moving into a retirement village and Kasha exceeding the weight of animals permitted 😞 she has always been a much loved member of the family and this shines through in her personality ❤️
Kasha has previously (and currently) lived as an only dog, but was regularly socialised with lots of other dogs in her previous home. She has also spent some time in a foster home with another dog (Springer Spaniel) with no issues. She is currently being fostered with 5 other dogs with no issues. BUT she gets so excited and we need to keep her calm so an only dog home or foster home is what she needs while she recovers from her surgery. After recovery she would love a doggy friend or be socialised alot with other dogs. She enjoys the company of both her people and canine friends, but can be a little boisterous with young children. She walks well on lead and when completely recovered from her surgery, will need 1-2 walks each day.
Whilst Kasha is quite happy to spend time outside, she does also enjoy spending time inside with the family and toilet trained 😉 she is quite an affectionate girl and loves a cuddle and plenty of attention.
Kasha can get a little nervous in new surroundings or when she hears unfamiliar sounds and will bark to let you know she’s feeling anxious, so she does need someone who is willing to help her through those times at first. We have found though, that she is much more settled when she has the company of another dog.
What Kasha wants and needs are 2 different things at the moment though....
✅ This gorgeous girl will need a foster home on the Central Coast (this is a must) so she has easy access to vet appointments (at our expense). A fully fenced yard is also required.
❌ No cats or pocket pets as she hasn't been around them.
✅ With her current leg issues and crate rest essential post surgery, she would be best suited in an only dog foster home.
❌ No young children under 5 years
✅ A caring & safe environment with someone who works from home would be ideal as Kasha will need close supervision after her surgery. Recovery time expected is 4-6 weeks.
If you can provide all of the above and keen to adopt or foster this beautiful girl, we would love to hear from you ❤️ 🐾

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
