About Velvet
*velvet is currently trialling her new home* these photos don’t do velvet justice, she’s so much prettier in real life!!! something about black dogs and camera flashes not quite seeing eye-to-eye (her 1st pic was 'borrowed' from the pound website!) so i’ll pop some better piccies up once we take them but in the meantime we didn’t want this little sweetheart to miss out on finding a wonderful forever home!
we rescued velvet from our local pound where she’d been dumped in a holding pen so we don’t know her history though our vets advise that she’s appears to be a blend of mini daschund and cavalier king charles spaniel. She only weighs 3. 5kgs and at 7 months old won’t have a lot more growing to do so she’ll always have that cute puppy look about her!
velvet has an adorable personality, is very affectionate and is such a little character. She gets on well with other dogs – as a matter of fact my big tough staffy fell in love with her the moment they met and he’s normally freaked out by little dogs but hey she’s such a spunky-monkey who could resist velvet’s charms???
velvet’s not yappy and hasn’t dug or chewed on anything except her toys. She needs a little bit of lead training and once she gets the hang of her name we can work on her recall…………though what we think velvet would really enjoy is love and cuddles and a lap to curl up on at night in front of the tv!
velvet will benefit from an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie friend for company or where she won’t be left on her own for long periods of time especially while she’s young and adjusting to her new life. With her big brown eyes and soft floppy ears velvet is very easy to fall in love with so if you think you’ve got room in your home and heart for this pocket-sized gem then please contact sarg for an application now!
Medical notes
Velvet is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and wormed
