Floyd

Floyd is a beautiful 10 week old Beagle pup with the softest floppy ears and most adorable personality. He is a sweet boy who is fantastic and sensible with young children. His currently in a foster home with a 6 & 7 year old and loves their attention, but is also just as happy to sit and watch them play too. Even with an excitable squealing toddler jumping up and down, he stayed calm, quiet and just rolled over for belly rubs.

He is respectful and gentle with the resident cat and doesn't even bother when birds walk around the backyard.

He is great in the car and sleeps most of the way to puppy school. In the 2 lessons he's had so far, he has proved to be a quick learner and friendly with other dogs.

He doesn't scoff his food and often leaves a bowl of kibble to graze on throughout the day. We've even seen him watch the cat come and eat some of his food and he just sat there and watched him.

He is still working on being house trained but is doing really well so far. Overnight he is crated and will sulk to let you know he needs to be taken out to go to the toilet.

He is a clever boy and easily trainable. He can sit, drop, shake and we are working on crawling and stay. His recall needs some improvement only when his following his nose, but it will come with more training.

Being a puppy he loves toys! Chew ropes, squeaky rubber ducks and balls are some of his favorites. The more the better! His favorite toy would have to be a giant tug of war rope that's 10x bigger than him, but he still runs it around the backyard.

We would love to see Floyd adopted by a young family full of love, energy and fun adventures.
