About Perry ~ Wolfhound x ~ Pending Adoption 21/5/21
Meet the stunning Miss Perry
Perry came into care at 5 weeks old when her owners realised that she had a bit of trouble seeing and hearing.
This didn’t stop Perry settling in to family life with her new foster fur brothers and sisters and kids in the family.
Her foster mum think she has tunnel vision & no depth perception. She won’t even jump out of the back of the family car as she seems not to be able to tell how far it is. She sees birds right in front of her and is very interested in them.
Her hearing is hit & miss. Thigh slapping is guaranteed to get her attention & sometimes a whistle but she sleeps through a lot of other stuff that sets the rest of the dogs off.
She’s the sweetest girl though - so affectionate & her whole body wags when she gets excited.
Being a “hound”, Perry has a very good sense of smell so responds well to treat training. She’s also a girl who LOVES her food & is very protective of it. The other dogs/pups aren’t allowed anywhere near her when she’s eating. She gives them a stern growl to warn them off, but once the food is gone, she lets them crawl all over her
