From a stranger’s front porch to our foster carer, Hubert has won many hearts. It’s hard not to fall in love with this adorable little guy once you hear the story of how he came into care, so prepare yourself....

In a cat carrier with a note attached to the top pleading for someone to take care of him, Hubert was dumped on the doorstep of a home in Endeavour Hills. Left next to him were some supplies and some food.

Poor Hubert was frightened and awfully confused about his situation, and the man who found him was not able to keep him, so Hurbert was taken to the local vet clinic for help - and we stepped in to foster him.

Hubert was desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and given a health check and he came through with flying colours. Not only is he a funny, very confident, boisterous and energetic kitten but he’s also very rare – he’s a grey tuxedo!

In foster care, Hubert has shown just how affectionate he is. He purrs when you pick him up and he is totally mesmerised when you do the slow blink with him – he loves it!

Initially Hubert was very unhappy and upset about the older cats and dog in care with him, however, over time, Hubert has adjusted to them. Because of this we think it best if Hubert goes to a home where he is the only pet. However if you do have a cat or a cat-friendly dog and you can introduce Hubert to your home slowly and over time, he might do okay.

Hubert can also play a little rough sometimes, so he would not suit a home with small children. Older children would be fine. Hubert would also make a great furchild for a couple or becoming the centre of your world for a single person.

Hubert is a unique character – you’d never think that this precious boy had such a strange start to life. Hubert now needs certainty and security in his life so we are looking for a stable home for this adorable boy - a forever home where he will never have to face being abandoned again.

One thing that must be noted is that Hubert hates being put in a cat carrier (a result of being abandoned in one, we suspect). Whoever adopts Hubert must be prepared for a lot of caterwauling on the way home or to the vet. We advise the use of earplugs.
