Sadly Tara is available again. Tara is rather more obese than we thought and is not suitable for anyone with more than one or two stairs. Definitely one level house only. She also gets quite distressed if left on her own, although with another dog around that may change.
Tara is a social butterfly who never passes up the opportunity for some attention and pats. It doesn’t matter if you are human, another dog or a cat she will adore you and make you feel so incredibly special. Tara has a lovely, soft nature and is great with other dogs. She shared her previous home with two smaller, older dogs and was very tolerant, friendly and playful with them. She also lived with three cats and was quite happy in their company.
A great home for Tara will see her with a busy family around a lot as she just loves to be with
you, and join in the hustle bustle of your life. She just wants to be part of your every day: the fun, adventures and even the mundane. As long as she is with you she will be happy. Tara is perfect, well almost.. she has been known to eat a sock or two!
Tara is house trained and she will benefit from some basic obedience training. She is very overweight and will definitely benefit from a diet also.
Tara will love you with all of her heart. You could not ask for a more loyal and loving
companion.
Thank you to Heather of Dixon Dog Photography for the fantastic photos of Tara.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
