About Frankie
Hi there! I’m Frankie - and I’m an 18 month old male red heeler X weighing in at 26kg.
I sleep inside, am toilet trained and am a smart boy who learns quickly. I already know lots of commands - sit, stay, paw (left & right), drop, roll and beg. I will wait patiently outside while my meals are being prepared and will not eat until told to “dig in”. I was also being taught the fetch game at my previous home.
I love going to the beach and riding in the car. I have been taken to cafes and enjoy my treat of a puppacino.... I’ve been doing lead training - I’ve improved but still pull a little so extra practise is required.
I have lots of energy and love playing with other doggy pals. I’m still a puppy and can be a bit naughty chewing things if left unattended when you go out.
I was housed with a cat for a few months - I did want to play chase so maybe not the best match?
I wouldn’t cope well being left alone while my humans go to work. I need stimulation, company and lots of daily exercise. I’m quite boisterous and better suited to kids over 10yo.

ADFC house all dogs with foster carers in private homes. This allows them to experience life in family situations with other dogs, cats, children, chooks and various other domestic animals. We then have an opportunity to discover their traits and personalities, likes and dislikes, and which dog may suit your family dynamics.
We offer a 14 day trial - $50 deposit. If the dog doesn't fit with your family, they will be returned to us and deposit refunded.
To arrange a meet and greet with one of our dogs please send us a message.
The committee and carers of ADFC are all volunteers, so please be patient with us if we don't answer your enquiry straight away.
