About Meave
Meave arrived to Just Cats after her kittens where found under a pile of tin in a suburbia back yard, we took the kittens and set a trap in the hope to reunite them with mum cat as they where only a few days old.... Within a few hours we got the call to say she was in the trap.
Poor Meave was so worried and frightened, a very young 6 month old first time mother out on her own having babies and then trapped.... you can just imagine how she was feeling.
Meave gained lots of confidence with us while she was nursing her babies - we believe she may have been an owned cat to start with but has been left alone for a long time so human trust was an issue.
Meave trusted us to care for her and her young, she did really well raising her babies and plus took on a foster kitten too. Once they where old enough they left our nursery and headed off to foster care.
Meave is a sweet heart. Once she knows you she loves a pat and gives a nice head boop. she actually enjoys her pats from people but she is terrified of young toddlers so a quiet home without young children will be the best place for her.
She would like someone who is happy to not pick her up or touch her belly. She is great with other cats and is a quiet girl who just likes to curl up in a warm spot.
We all have a soft spot for this girl and would love to see her find a wonderful home to start her new life - she has a lot of love to give to the right person.
Please note you must be willing to give Meave the chance to settle in - this could take 4 - 8 weeks.
