Shiva

Looking for a special home for this beautiful old girl, Shiva the Chihuahua.

Shiva has a few medical issues associated with being an older dog. She is on tablets for heart disease. 1/2 a tablet daily, and a box of 100 tablets is $130 from our vet. Smaller quantities are cheaper of course. These will be ongoing.

She may need diuretic tablets in future, at a cost of around $10 per 100 from our vet (she was on 1/2 tablet daily of those, but that has stopped)
Otherwise, she is spritely and happy.
She doesn't sit still often and I wouldn't say she is a cuddly dog, well, not yet anyway. She needs some stability in her life we think.

We are told she is a fussy eater but we will experiment with a few foods now she is in our care. So far she prefers wet food or meat to bickies (as most dogs do)

Shiva does like to be with you and not left alone.
So maybe someone who works from home or is retired??
She is ok with dogs and cats etc. Not bothered at all.

Shiva does startle easily as her sight is lacking and would not suit young children who don't understand this, as she may nip.
Best way to pick her up and pat her etc, is slowly, so she can perhaps sniff first and know its coming.
She doesn't mind the touch, its just her reaction to a scare that may make her react defensively.

At a guess, we are thinking Shiva may be 12ish. Maybe a fraction older?
