Puzzle

Puzzle is a miniature Australian Shepherd weighing approximately 13kgs. She is an intelligent and loving dog who is young at heart. She does have some anxieties with loud noises which her foster carers are working on gently at her own pace.

She will need an experienced, kind and patient owner/s who can show her the ways of the world and help her see the world in a positive way.

She would benefit from having another calm dog

Puzzle is not really a dog park dog as she can get overwhelmed and frantic and stressed or over excited so will need a quiet home where her anxieties in this regard can be worked on and managed positively in a reasonably calm environment outside of the home. Puzzle is ok with meeting other dogs on walks just not up to trips to dog parks which can be busy.

Puzzle loves food and treats, and loves to have a play and a run.

She does have some resource guarding which will need to be managed by an experienced owner preferable one experienced with resource guarding and as a result is not suitable to a home with children under the age of 16

Puzzle is fine with cats and has shown that she is perfectly happy with dogs as long as they stay clear of her personal space.

Puzzle currently sleeps in an open crate overnight and values this as her safe space. If she doesn’t have an available crate, she will find a small space to crawl into for naps and safety. She does not need to be rehomed with another dog but she does love chasing her little foster friend around the backyard, and then snuggling up beside her bestie.
