Joey is a 1.2 kg bundle of cuteness, but due to her petite size and lively personality traits, she needs an extra special home that would be able to cater to her very particular needs.

Joey loves to play, but can get vocal and a little feisty as her excitement grows. She enjoys the company of other dogs, but she is selective. Any potential doggy friends' would need to be playful, yet gentle given Joey's tiny size. Supervised play is recommended.

Joey loves being with her people. She is the ultimate lap dog. However, she can get wriggly and snappy if she is being held when she does not want to be.

She is happy and content to catch some sun rays for short periods on her own while lying on the grass and she also enjoys doing zoomies in the garden and having a play with her canine or human companions.

In unfamiliar surroundings the world looks big to this tiny girl and she can be fearful or timid being in new places. She needs time to build trust with new furry friends or new people. She will need time, love and gentle encouragement to make friends and to bond.

Currently she needs to be fed three times a day. She is learning to use her pee-pads and is slowly being introduced to toileting outside with encouragement. She has been taken for walks which she enjoys. She walks well on lead and she loves trotting next to her people. Currently she wears a harness designed for a ferret as she is so tiny! Joey will need a coat when outside in the cooler months.

Adoption fees contribute to RSPCA ACT operational costs and help us look after and enrich the lives of other animals in our care that may not find their forever homes as readily. Premium adoption fees are applied based on a number of contributing factors, including but not limited to: individual pet characteristics, behaviour profile, care requirements, registration status, free market principles.

The adoption fee for Joey is $990.00 which helps to cover the cost of her mandatory de-sexing, vaccinations, microchip and a lot of care from the RSPCA crew. Who says you can't buy love?!
