To my new parents....please look beyond my adorable good looks, and find out If I’m really the right pup for you 😉

Cosmo is the name, and I’m a Cattle x Kelpie mix (yes working dog breeds) and almost 5mths old. My whole world is centred around my people....I mean LITERALLY 😜

I would be one of those dogs that followed you everywhere....to the kitchen at meal times, to the bathroom/toilet & to the bedroom at night time (if allowed). I love to sit right at your feet, hold your hand (seriously) and enjoy some good belly rubs.

At the moment, I’m unsure about how I feel being around other dogs....I probably do overreact at times and not sure if I feel threatened around them, but I could really use some more socialisation training. I’m sure once I learn how to have fun with them, I’d be a great doggie playmate!

As you can imagine, I have some energy to burn, and love to do zoomies in the backyard....frequently. I’m also at that age where everything gets the chew test 🤨 so, some good strong bones and chew toys will need to go on the shopping list!

I’m getting used to the routine in my foster home, but do like to test out the willpower of my carers....I’m allowed to spend time inside while they’re at home, but at bedtime, I have to sleep in my nice cosy kennel outside. Although I keep trying to avoid the bedtime routine by running the other way, they haven’t given in to me yet 😝 they seem pretty determined!

Here are a few other things you should probably know....I’m toilet trained (as long as I have access to the grass outside), I enjoy looking at myself in the mirror (multiple times a day), I’m starting to respond to my name 👏, I’m SUPER affectionate and love to be cuddled, I’m not a big barker, if left on my own for too long with nothing to keep me busy, I’ll do some renovating in the garden 😜. When I’m over excited, I do get a bit mouthy, but not in a nasty way....I just need to learn how to contain my excitement. And last but not least, don’t feed me before travelling in the car.....the motion of the car unsettles my belly, and then you have a mess to clean up 🤢 This is definitely something that can be worked on by taking me on regular short trips though 👍

My dream home would be a big property (fully fenced of course), with some people who spent lots of time at home with me. I would love to be able to cuddle with you on the couch, sit by the fire in Winter and share your bed at night time 🙊.....I know, I’m probably pushing it! Please understand though, I’m NOT going to suit apartment life or home with a courtyard, I just wouldn’t cope.

I’m also going to need someone who is committed to putting in a solid effort with training and socialisation with other dogs. This is SUPER IMPORTANT ✔️
