About Sonny
This little scruffy, fluffy bundle of joy was found roaming the streets and taken into the Pound. Having no one come look for him, SAFE are out to find a family who will love and look after this little boy the way he deserves.
Sonny loves humans of all sizes. He has been in two different foster homes, both with small children who he happily played with. He even went as far as letting one of his little human friends dress him up. In saying this, he can be a little bit different with dogs. Living quite wildly and having no set routine, food or family, Sonny probably spent a lot of his time fending for himself. This can make his initial reaction to a new dog a little growly and scared, but he has proven to come around in time. After a few growls and being a little stand-offish, Sonny became accepting and tolerable with his new foster dog friends, however still not overly inclined to play with them.
Surprisingly, with his background, Sonny is very easy going with eating at the same time/around other doggy friends. However, once he finishes his meal he has no hesitations in trying to finish anyone else's meal off too.
Having received a lack of love in his past, Sonny has shown, with both his foster homes, to become quite attached and protective of his human mumma. Considering his circumstance, this is a normal response however getting some training and socialising with dog groups or obedience classes may help Sonny find where he fits in his family pack.
Sonny is toilet trained and sleeps inside during the night.
Using a lead and a collar was all new to Sonny, but he has picked it up quite quickly. He enjoys going for walks and walks into his harness and waits patiently to be clipped up. He will need to be on the lead during walks as he has a habit of trying to chase motorbikes and cars.
Sonny may be little but he has a big personality. He can be a little bossy and he can be a little growly but he has so much potential to become the greatest version of himself with a loving family.
