I was surrendered to Lort Smith as my previous carer did not have enough time to invest in me.

I am a young, affectionate, active and highly intelligent girl, with an exuberant amount of energy to burn. My new carers will need to live an active lifestyle, be able to take me for daily walks, set aside play time, enrol me into some type of dog sport, like flyball and take me to obedience training to build upon my already learnt skills.

I am ball obsessed, and will do anything to engage in play with my handler, so training with me is a lot of fun!

My new adopters will have to be patient whilst exposing me to new environments, sounds, objects and other animals, as I am still learning and can be nervous of new experiences. A family that can continue building on my confidence would be just wonderful.

It would be great if my carers can work on some much needed independence training, so that I learn that it is okay to be left alone for periods of time. I should say, that I would prefer if my new family are home more often than not though.

Due to my high energy breed, I will not be able to go to home with children or small animals, due to the thrill of chase and my natural instinct of rounding up and nipping. It would be magnificent if my new adopters have experience with my breed, and quite a large back yard, so I have lots of room to run and play.

Although I do get along with calm dogs, it would be best for now that I go to a home as the only dog. This is so my new adopters can focus fully on me, my development and training.
