About Tonka
Tonka is almost 2 years old now, & has been in what we hoped was his forever home for a year, until his family circumstances changed & he was brought back to us at CCAR.
Since he has been away, he has put on a bit of weight (which regular exercise & not so many treats should rectify) & he has learnt to speak Italian, as Nonna gave him instructions & training in Italian, so he is a bilingual dog!
He is the same happy, excited puppy he was when he left the first time & Im sure he will make a great family addition for a new energetic family.
He can be obedient & understand commands, (when he wants to) & loves going for walks & the company of people or other dogs.
Tonka would be best suited to a family where he is included in lots of out door activities, & no little kids as his excitement may result in them getting knocked over, he just cant help himself, he loves getting out & about.
Medical notes
Tonka does need to lose some weight, to get him back to prime condition
Adoption details
If you would like to adopt a country pet there are a few requirements.
A chat with the foster carer is the first step to determine if the pet is the right one for you and your lifrstyle. A yard check while having a meet and greet is the next step and if all is satisfactory for all parties the adoption can go ahead.
The perfect home for each individual pet is essential, and the decision about which new home the pet goes to is made by the foster carer.
