Leroy ~ 5yr Old English Staffy(On Trial 22/05/21)

This little nugget of love is Leroy, a 5 year old English staffy.

Leroy is a typical staffy – he absolutely loves people! He has the nickname The Shadow – because you get home he will wait behind the gate, then quickly reappear at the back door, just like a little black shadow. He just wants to be close to his people.

This is not a boy who is suited to being left outside. We are looking for a family who will welcome Leroy inside whenever they are home. Leroy loves to lay on the lounge with his family! He just sits happily at the end of the lounge, but every now and then, he will come and jump on you to get his belly rubbed. But he is a good boy who understands which lounge is ‘his’, and which one is off limits.

Don’t be fooled by his age, this boy has energy. He could be a good running buddy, but otherwise, balls are life and you better be ready to keep throwing it!

At the dog park Leroy is one of those dogs that doesn’t really fit into a clique. He will go around all of the groups of dogs and say hello, then move onto the next group. But it doesn’t take long for him to come back and let you know he is there. He has lived with other dogs with no issues, and may be suited to a home with other dogs, but he would absolutely love to have some adults all to himself.

We are looking for a home without young children as Leroy is just too boisterous for them. He may be suited to older children, but a single or couple would be his ideal.

Leroy does have a few little quirks. As with a lot of staffies, Leroy can be anxious in storms. He isn’t destructive, but needs to be near his people when the storms are around. He just wants to be inside close to them sitting quietly and he feels more comforted.

Leroy's adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and has been treated for fleas and worms. Leroy currently lives in the Newcastle Region NSW.
