ABOUT JETSTAR
Jetstar came in with his buddy Qantas. Qantas has now been adopted, so he would like to find his own home and human that loves attention.
Once he gets to know you, he will love to just spend time near you. He is not shy about asking for his cuddles, and will push his way through if others are around.
He is a great snuggler at night. So if you are looking for a cat to snuggle with at night, or while watching tv, he could be the kitty you are looking for.
When he came into care, he had singed whiskers and fur. He has no fears though, so not sure if he just got himself too close to an open flame. It does not affect him at all.
Jetstar LOVES his food. So much so he will hoover it down. He will then throw up. To alleviate this issue, I have fed him by scattering his biscuits over the ground. Forcing him to eat slower. This has stopped the issue of him throwing up.
MEDICAL NOTES
Jetstar has been identified to have enlarged kidneys that are quite movable (kidneys should be neither of these things). After further tests, it is just something that makes him him. There does not appear to be any issues due to these things. It is just something to be aware of.
When Jetstar was sent for desex, the vet could only find one testicle. (which he removed) He was going to go looking for the other in his stomach (where it can hide sometimes), but the vet found an old scar on the stomach wall, indicating that another vet had already explored this area. Maybe the previous vet only found 1 and our vet found the other. A testosterone test was done a month after desex and was found that there was none being produced so therefore is desexed.
