About Trixie
This beautiful girl is Trixie. Trixie is a large young girl still learning the boundaries and manners expected of her. She jumps up a little when excited and has bursts of energy, but is generally pretty chill and placid. She is quite obedient and although still learning on lead is showing great improvement. She can react by barking at unknown dogs if scared when out, but with daily walks this should decrease.
Trixie has shared a foster home with a med/large male dog and got on great with him. She has shown some reaction to dogs barking behind fences at her, but we feel this will resolve as she matures and learns that those dogs aren't a threat. Trixie will chase the birds who land in the yard so maybe not suitable for birds/chooks etc.
Trixie is fully house trained and likes to be inside where her people are. She will snuggle on the lounge given half a chance. She will grizzle a bit when put outside with her doggy foster brother but does settle, however a home where she is allowed to share space with her humans is preferred. Being a young dog, interaction with her human family is very important and ideally she will find a home where someone is at home a lot. Trixie is still quite a pup on the chewing front and is still learning what is a dog toy and what is not, again this is a puppy behaviour and she will grow out of it.
She will require plenty of exercise outside of her yard to keep her happy and healthy. We are told Trixie was in a home with a cat although she was quite interested so probably best in a cat-free household. She apparently had been around children but this has not been tested in our care.
If you are looking for a pretty relaxed young dog and have the time and commitment to continue her training then sweet Trixie might be your next best friend!
