When you look into Damon’s big soulful eyes you can see that this is a boy who has a big heart full of love for people.

Although initially he may be a bit hesitant with strangers, once Damon warms up to you he will show you just how affectionate he can be.

Damon took on the role of protector of the kittens in his litter, and this makes him very loyal to those he loves. Damon gives comfort to those who need it, using his innate nurturing abilities to sense when someone needs an extra cuddle of smooch.

Don’t be fooled by his shyness on first meeting, this beautiful-looking tabby boy is playful and zany - and he will return all the love, kindness and understanding given to him.

This gorgeous boy was rescued from a home in Springvale after a Good Samaritan discovered he and his litter mates were in immediate danger. Because he was quite young when he came into care, Damon will occasionally suckle on himself. This is something he will grow out of, but for now it is a comforting mechanism.

Damon would do well with a family of older children or a couple wanting a kitty with a lovely, fun personality. He is very social with his foster carer’s older cats and kittens in care with him. He would also be okay with a cat-friendly dog, if introduced slowly over time.

Damon has been used to having the run of his foster carer’s home so he would not be suited to inner city apartment living or to being the only cat left alone for hours on end.

Because he is highly intelligent, Damon needs someone to play with him – human or animal, he doesn’t mind - although he will also happily amuse himself too. Damon is not a clingy cat but he is fond of a warm lap and being cuddled and patted.
