About Lockie
Lockie loves kids!
A happy, enthusiastic young man - Lockie is ready to find his forever home.
Lockie loves his daily walks, splashing around in his pool and chewing on a tasty treat. He has also been known to have quite the sniffer and enjoys not only munching on, but also sniffing out his treats.
Being the young fella that he is, Lockie would thrive in a calm home, where his humans are eager to use positive reinforcement to form a strong bond and get the most out of this intelligent young man! Lockie is very eager to learn.
Lockie’s enthusiasm may be a little too much for children under 8 years, so he would be best suited to a family with older children, who can enjoy his hinge butt. In a similar way, anyone who may be a little unsteady on their feet isn't suited to him at this point. He has moments of nutty puppy and may knock someone, while carrying his favourite soft toy or a slipper.
Lockie is keen to please his people and will randomly remember on walks that sitting gets him a pat and will just sit and look up at you with a big grin. He is highly food motivated and is keen to learn in exchange for something yummy.
Lockie enjoys zoomies, swimming, playing with other dogs and learning how to be a good boy. He needs a human committed to training and who will enjoy his over-grown puppy antics.
Other dogs are super exciting for Lockie and he sometimes chucks puppy tantrums if he cant get to them. We are working through this and would want his adopters to be prepared to do the same. HH is happy to support his people with ongoing training.
He is affectionate, intelligent and just loves to be with his people. He will make a great best friend or family dog and doesn't have a mean bone in his body.
If I sound perfect for you, please complete the short adoption application form in the attached link, please note this is the only way your application will be considered: https://homelesshounds.com.au/adopt/dogs

Lockie is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control.
He is in perfect health.
